Olivia messaged me about shooting a small engagement session at her dad’s farm in Manville with a ’50s model Ford truck, and, before we knew it, we were meeting to discuss her wedding photos as well. The farm, truck, dogs and this couple were just perfect and we had such a good time.
Craig stood Olivia up the first time they were supposed to meet after he failed to show up at a UT football game where Olivia’s friend was going to introduce them. Olivia had plans after her Air Force career ended, was totally independent and didn’t really care. A few months later the two started texting and finally met in person. They fell in love and had a long distance relationship for a year and a half while Olivia finished out her active duty service time.
Craig is a firefighter and we incorporated his retired helmet into the session as a backdrop for Olivia’s gorgeous engagement ring. He proposed at the end of June and totally surprised her with the ring, as she was beginning to think he just didn’t want to get married. She thought her birthday gift was going to be something for her 4-wheeler. He did good, didn’t he?
Hank and Sarge are the couple’s two fur babies and they braved the heat for some great photos. Can you guess which dog goes with which name?
(Hank is the Pomeranian and Sarge is the German Shepherd.)
The farm, the truck, the sun setting for some awesome sun flare and this gorgeous couple made for some of my favorite all time engagement photos. According to Olivia, she and Craig are truly country outdoors people. They four wheel, fish, go to the lake, raise chickens, hike, camp and love their dogs!
The love that these two have for one another can be seen so much in this session and I am looking forward to their October wedding at The Barn at The Allandale Mansion.
